I bought 5 yubamanju, which were not enough to fulfill my endless eager for yubamanju :) The owner Obajjang was really kind!!!
If you passed by give this place a try. I must admit that half a reason I try this at first because how cute the seller is (daughter maybe?). But don't let that stop you! This fried Sweet and Salty snack taste great. Salty and Crunchy like chips outside but sweet and fluffy inside. Buy 5 and you get a smile for free. And that's not all! you'll get a hot tea to warm you right up for free!ร้านนี้à¸à¸£à¹ˆà¸à¸¢à¸„รับ คนขายน่ารัà¸à¸”้วยโสดต้à¸à¸‡à¸¡à¸²
The most memorable snack I had in Japan! Bought them just when I was about to catch train back to Tokyo and I regretted not buying more. Definitely going back to Nikko one day for this scrumptious treat 😊
Must have!
I dropped in during Nikko sightseeing in December, 2019. A souvenir shop that handles fried yuba buns, which are very famous in Nikko. You can eat the hot freshly made food and take it home as a souvenir. It is almost always published in travel magazines, but in recent years it has also been recognized by Matsuko Deluxe programs.Depending on the time of day, there is always a line in front of the shop, but the rotation is fast so you can purchase it if you wait a little. When I ate for the first time, I was surprised that the sweetness arrived earlier than expected. However, this gradually becomes a habit. If you think calmly and calmly, this seasoning and deep-fried itself will cause you to say, "Is this something that must be yuba? I can't dispel the question. We were satisfied simply because it was delicious. There is no doubt that fast food cannot be removed in sunlight!
I thought that it was a specialty dish that is often found in sightseeing spots, and bought “Yuyumanju†with a light feeling. It's amazing to eatExquisite sweetness and salt attached to fried yuba. Moreover, the crispy feeling of the fried yuba is amazing.A nostalgic and new taste.I always eat when I come to Nikko.
In the square in front of me, I had a bun while watching a cute train. It has a stable taste !!
We absolutely loved it! It’s all everyone said and more! Salty on the outside, sweet on the inside, crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. It’s really well balanced in taste & texture. We couldn’t get enough of it and went back for more before our drive back to Tokyo. It’s only 200 Yen. Try it, you will love it!
The inside is sweet, the salt is waving on the outside, and the bean paste is really good. We ate with foreign friends, but it was acclaimed. It's 30 seconds away from the station so you can buy it while waiting for the train. Don't say "I should have bought it".
The deep fried yuba manju is a must!
I visited to buy Sashimi Yuba. The souvenir Yuba was a pack souvenir produced by the famous Yuba restaurant "Matsutaka". The material is soybeans from Tochigi, and it was the taste of yuba at a restaurant. It was delicious.
Amazing fried red bean sweets. So good!
Crunchy and delicious! Went back to eat many times!
Amazing treats - the deep fried manju is an incredible food experience. Savory and sweet and crunchy and soft and warm - you have to have one.
A famous store in front of Tobu Nikko station. Fried Yuba manju starts at 220 yen per item, and souvenirs come in 3 or 5 pieces. The bean paste is sweetened with heat, and salt accents the sweetness. The crunchy and addictive taste.
Definitely a must-eat when you are in Nikko!
Like all other reviewers, the deep fried manju is a must. I usually dont like red bean but this was great. Give it a try! Located across from the bus stop and Nikko station.
Friendly staff! We also tasted tofu skin sashimi here, and we definitely recommend this!

If you're visiting Nikko, you definitely have to stop here and try the fried sweet and salty manju. The shop is right in front of the bus station that goes to all the Nikko attractions, you cannot miss it, the people in front of the shop and the smell will give it away. The staff there speak a bit of English so that won't be an issue. Have fun and eat away !
The deep fried yubamanju filled with sweet red bean and wrapped in yuba with a sprinkling of salt at the end is so addictive. It was the first food that we bought when we arrived and the last thing we ate before we hopped back on train. Highly recommend!

A shop famous for deep-fried Yuba Pier. They are sold at the store for 220 yen for eating. The rough salt shaken over the buns accentuates the sweetness and flavor of yuba, so you can get as many as you like without getting tired. It was a satisfying taste to become the number one souvenir.
Nice fried red been pastry, light and not too sweet.
Simple but delicious. It's like fried anpan but topped with rock salt. Soft and sweet on the inside, with hints of salty on the outside. 200 yen each
One of the best Yuba I've ever had! "Yuba" is Nikko's famous delicacy and a must-have when you're there. It's basically beancurd skin (skimmed from the top layer of soy milk when it coagulates). Even had raw sashimi yuba (which wasn't much to our liking ^_^;;). But this fried age manju yuba is a different story - it's one of the best we've had. I had to buy a box (of 6) home! It was that good...! The skin was crispy (a little oily though), yet springy from the yuba - combined with sweet red bean <3 it was heaven. It's a must to drop by this shop and get your hands on some fried age manju yuba!
I'm confident that I wouldn't know what the dough that wraps the outer bean would be unless I was told "Yuba".Aside from that, the light texture of the yuba and the fact that it is fried are exquisitely matched, and the taste and texture that can not be achieved otherwise. In addition, wrapping the bean paste would be good enough, but the combination of salt and salt makes it a taste that can be carved not only in the tongue but also in the memory.
There was a refreshing sweetness,Yuba with protein rich flavor and rock salt with more flavorIt really enhances the taste (^ o ^). I love you. I love you. Will.ã´ ã´ ã´ï¸ðŸ’Œ
nice
Best food in Nikko!!
Fried yuba manju seaweed in front of the station. The skin is crisp and moderately sweet. It's easy to access, so why don't you see it with a little vacant time?
Crunchy, sweet and with a tinge of salt. Dare I say one of the best dessert Japan has to offer!
Try out those deep fried red bean pastries. Very tasty!
I went there for the first time. The aunt is also gentle and the freshly fried is really delicious. You can eat about three!
I went to buy "agemanju".Because it is freshly fried, it is crisp and delicious. The bean paste was modest in sweetness, and the skin was salted, so the sweetness of the ingredients could be felt in a slightly salty atmosphere. At first, I wanted to take it home because I was full, but I lost the pressure of the clerk and went for a eating style ... (sweat), but I understood that it was definitely better to eat freshly fried .This time we refrained from this, but they also make tea available at the service. The only difficulty is… There is no parking lot. There were cars parked on the street because it was right in front of Tobu Nikko Station, but we stopped at the coin parking because it hindered traffic ...If you go by car, you should consider the way!
Very oily
It's so delicious, you must buy one after eating.
Sweet and salty manju i ever tasted. You can have free taste. And free hot tea.ðŸ‘👠Like it.
Very yummy fried red bean bun with a hint of saltiness on the crust! The red bean paste filling is not too sweet either , just nice ! We went back for second visit ! Selling at 220 yen for one bun !
Delicious Keep it cool, it's also a lot like Ian delicious fillings like dressing like a bit salty. 220 yen per piece If a package is a box with bags added.
Great and yummy snack. Don’t eat too much! 😆
You wouldn’t want to miss it, I dare say‼ï¸Slightly salty & crispy outer layer with relatively sweet red bean paste in the autumn time was just to die for 😋 Usually long line, so be patient 😉
The crust is fried to crispy, the place where the red bean stuffing is thin is thin, the skin on both sides is thicker, the hot food will not have oily taste, the outer layer has salt, so it will not be very sweet, and it is very warm in winter afternoon. Comfortable, now one is 220 two! The boss is very good, will ask if you want free hot oolong tea
Snack is definitely worth a try!
These are amazing! Fried sweet and salty goodness
Great tasting fried yubamanju! A hot piping treat great for the cold weather.
Delightful snack once you arrived at Tobu station. Crisp and salty on the outside but soft and sweet on the inside. Just....yumm..... You can't miss the shop, come out of the station cross the cross way on the right side of the station. The shop should be on your right hand side with manju display infront of the shop.
Simply put, this is a must-try place in Nikko. Don't miss it! Their fried yubamanju was just so good and unique!
Tobu Nikko station square.It's hard to park your car, but it's a good idea to decide what to buy and how many to buy and park it in front of the store! 🎵My personal recommendation is [Fried Yuba Wharf]. It ’s delicious enough to numb.However, if you want to be careful, the warm home is delicious, so buy it and eat it immediately. Or you can go home and eat and eat.Yup! Better to buyヽ (´o `;
The famous fried steamed buns of Nikko In the roundabout In Salapao, it is stuffed with red bean paste and sprinkled with salt, sweet and salty. It's delicious.
